JOHN ALDRIDGE hailed Crystal Palace winger Wilfired Zaha after he helped the Eagles to victory over the Reds yesterday.
Zaha was a constant menace on the wing as Alan Pardew's team ran out unlikely 2-1 winners at Anfield.
He spent two unhappy years as a United player following a £15million move from Palace in 2013.
But the 22-year-old is now back to his best after returning to Selhurst Park on a permanent basis at the start of the current campaign.
And Aldridge questioned United's treatment of their former player, who made just two Premier League appearances for the Old Trafford club.
"I don’t know what Manchester United did to Wilfried Zaha but he looked like an England player at Anfield. He was superb down their right," he said.
The Anfield legend was also quick to heap praise on his former Palace team-mate Nathaniel Clyne.
The right-back has settled well since his summer move to Merseyside from Southampton.
"I thought Nathaniel Clyne was excellent for us," he added.
"Palace never got any change out of him. He was very solid and looked good going forward.
"He’s been one of the big positives for us so far this season."
