CARLOS TEVEZ has revealed that his loyalties lie with the blue side of Manchester.
The Argentine forward recently inspired Boca Juniors to their 31st Primera Division title in his first season back at his boyhood club following a decade away.
In that period Tevez has ventured all across Europe, with spells at West Ham, Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus.
Tevez's first spell in London came in 2006 when he joined West Ham along with fellow international team-mate Javier Mascherano.
The striker spent one season with the Hammers before completing a move to United and the 31-year-old admits he found it difficult to adjust to life in England when he first arrived.
Tevez admits to supporting Manchester City over Manchester United |
"At West Ham, I followed Mascherano everywhere. He went to the bathroom and I followed him.
"At Manchester United it was easier, I understood the language better.
"Thinking back, the two years I spent at United were wonderful."
Tevez made 63 league appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 19 goals, before joining rivals City.
He signed a five-year deal with City in the summer of 2009 that saw him win the Premier League title in 2012, featuring in their famous 3-2 victory over QPR that saw them snatch the title from United.
And Tevez has admitted that he supports City when the two clubs clash.
"When Manchester United play Manchester City, I root for City," he added.
"To see City go from a neighbour team, if you will, to one of the big clubs in Europe, it makes me proud. I am a city fan."
