Could Cristiano Ronaldo and Jose Mourinho be in Paris next season? |
The bold claim was made by the former Spurs star amid heavy speculation over the futures of the Portuguese duo.
Ronaldo has expressed his happiness with being at Real Madrid but refused to dismiss the possibility of returning to the Premier League, where he spent six years at Manchester United.
United and PSG are thought to be among leading contenders if Ronaldo does decide to end what will be a seven year spell in Spain.
While Mourinho’s position as Chelsea boss is in huge doubt after a dismal start to the season which sees them languishing in sixteenth place in the Premier League.
Owner Roman Abramovich is understood to be willing to give Mourinho more time but that feeling could change if Chelsea’s struggles continue after the international break.
And Ginola told BT Sport that Paris could have a distinct Portuguese influence in 2016.
He said: “I think he [Ronaldo] needs a new challenge.
“I see Ronaldo being in Paris next year.
“Because they have the money and in terms of the challenge to win the Champions League
“I know the Qatari investors would like to have Ronaldo at the club, no matter how much it will cost, they will pay for it.
“And I can also see Mourinho as the next manager of the team.
“So I think there’s going to be a lot of Portuguese in Paris.”
