IT seems the Bloodborne team could be hinting at a new exclusive coming to the PlayStation 4; Will it be a Demon's Souls Remastered Edition?
From Software’s popular Souls series sprung from the 2009 title, which has since seen an exclusive PS4 spinoff garner even more success for developers From Software.
Demon’s Souls was originally released as a PS3 exclusive in Japan, before launching in the UK in 2010 and was followed by Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2 being released on Xbox and PC platforms.
Dark Souls 3 will be released in 2016 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC and could be the last in the franchise.
From Software president Hidetaka Miyazaki has confirmed that Souls 3 will be bring closure to the series, telling Gamespot: "I don't think it'd be the right choice to continue indefinitely creating Souls and Bloodborne games. I'm considering Dark Souls 3 to be the big closure on the series.
"That's not just limited to me, but From Software and myself together want to aggressively make new things in the future."
However, it appears a return to the roots of the series' origins could be in the works.
The official Bloodborne Twitter account shared a new picture today, showing a stack of games for the PS4 console, including Bloodborne, The Old Hunters DLC edition and Demon's Souls perched on top.
It isn't much to go on but with the PlayStation Experience just weeks away and Dark Souls 3 in the offing, it would make a perfect time to announce a new exclusive remaster project for the PS4.
Bloodborne: The Old Hunters Edition arrives December 4, with players at any level able access the new content but recommended to wait until they are at least level 65.
The Old Hunters adds new environments, weapons, items, enemies, bosses and NPCs, with no additional expansions currently planned for Bloodborne.
