Pep Guardiola is Chelsea's No 1 target to replace beleaguered boss Jose Mourinho, according to reports.

Mourinho is under further pressure after his side lost 2-1 at West Ham on Saturday.

Mourinho was sent to the stands at Upton Park, suffering the ignominy of watching the defeat surrounded by Hammers fans.

And The Telegraph claim Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will be encouraged to try and land Guardiola as Stamford Bridge manager for a second time if Mourinho fails to turn around the club's fortunes.

Guardiola is said to be Abramovich's first choice to replace Mourinho, with the Bayern Munich boss' current deal expiring next summer.

It is added that Chelsea hope Mourinho will find a solution to his team's problems but that former bosses Carlo Ancelotti and Guus Hiddink could come into contention in the short term if things get worse.

Arsenal are preparing a new contract for Arsene Wenger - and are lining up a stunning return for Patrick Vieira.

The Gunners are joint-top of the Premier League after a 2-1 win over Everton on Saturday.

And the Daily Mirror report Wenger will be rewarded by being handed a new deal keeping him at the Emirates until 2019.

It is also claimed that Arsenal want to entice Manchester City coach Vieira back to north London as Wenger's eventual successor.

Manchester United have made contact with Antoine Griezmann's agent, according to reports in Spain.

Chelsea have also been linked with Griezmann, 24, who joined Atletico Madrid for £24million from Real Sociedad in July 2014.

But Spanish website Fichajes claim United have initiated contact with Griezmann's representatives ahead of a move to the Premier League.
