Jurgen Klopp leapt in the air following Christian Benteke's goal |
JURGEN KLOPP has admitted his lively touchline celebrations are here to stay - even if they were a little premature this weekend.
Liverpool were pegged back late on against Southampton to draw 1-1 at Anfield - Klopp's fourth draw since taking charge.
But prior to Sadio Mane's late equaliser, the German erupted on the sidelines as Christian Benteke headed home what looked like a winner.
The Belgium international rose well in the 18-yard box to get on the end of a James Milner cross, putting the Reds ahead on 77 minutes.
And the former Borussia Dortmund boss didn't hold back as he enjoyed the moment from his technical area, leaping into the air.
Jurgen Klopp rose almost as high as Christian Benteke did for the goal |
And Klopp has since revealed it's not in his nature to hold back, claiming every goal should be enjoyed like a 'party'.
"It was an absolutely fantastic goal," he said.
"I learned in my life you should celebrate a party when you have one as you don't know when the next one is."
"It was a moment. Now I know - don't celebrate too early. Hopefully we don't have to wait too long (for the next one)."
