Swansea will apologise to Stoke over Jack Butland replay controversy
Jack Butland studs-up challenge on Andre Ayew was replayed three times at the Liberty Stadium
SWANSEA are to apologise to Stoke over the Jack Butland replay controversy.

Potters goalkeeper Butland was not punished by referee Robert Madley for a studs-up challenge on Swans winger Andre Ayew in the 17th minute of Stoke's 1-0 win on Monday.
However the incident, which occurred after Butland fluffed a clearance, was replayed three times on the big screens at the Liberty Stadium, sparking a furious reaction from the home support.

Premier League rules state controversial incidents that question the judgment of the match officials should not be shown, and top-flight chiefs could hand Swansea a fine once they receive the referee's report.
Swansea do not have control of replays shown on the two big screens at the Liberty Stadium with Preston-based company ADI choosing which footage is replayed during matches from their central hub.

A Swansea spokesman: "We will be contacting Stoke to explain the situation and offer a formal apology."
Stoke manager Mark Hughes had described the use of the replays as "unnecessary" following his side's win
