NEYMAR'S contract talks with Barcelona have been put on hold until January, according to reports.
The 23-year-old was touted with a move to Manchester United during the summer, with reports suggesting Louis van Gaal was prepared to break the bank with a £240million bid.
Neymar's representatives even held talks with the Red Devils over a possible deal.
But Goal suggest that while discussions over a contract extension for Neymar have been slow, it is thought there could be a resolution to his situation come January.
It is believed the Catalan giants are looking to attract new sponsors - Botemania - a betting company, who in turn, could hold the key to negotiations with Neymar.
The La Liga powerhouse are believed to be keen to drive up their revenues, and Neymar's wages are one of the priorities.
Neymar, whose contract expires in 2018, recently admitted he's in no hurry to renew.
He told Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo: "I am very happy at Barca, and in Barcelona, where I have settled very well.
"I have three more years left on my contract, and my father looks after these things. Of course [I want to renew], but we'll talk about that later.
"My only concern at the moment is to be focused on helping the team and to keep winning trophies at Barca."
