Liverpool react to injury crisis with January bid to beat rivals Everton to Itay star
Andrea Ranocchia is reported to be a target for Liverpool
LIVERPOOL are ready to beat Everton to the signing of Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia, according to reports.

The Reds are currently embroiled in an injury crisis, with the news that and Joe Gomez faces a lengthy absence.
Doubts remain over the long-term fitness of centre-back Dejan Lovren as well and The Daily Star claim new boss Jurgen Klopp is keen to address the problem.

Ranocchia was heavily linked with cross-city rivals Everton in the summer but the Toffees failed to strike a deal.
And The Reds appear ready to swoop in and seal the deal with a bid when the transfer window reopens in January.
The 27-year-old was reported to be a target for Klopp during his time at Borussia Dortmund and the Italian could come in to break up the defensive pairing of Martin Skrtel and Lovren.

That was former manager Brendan Rodgers' preferred pairing but they now need to impress the new man in charge.
Ranocchia has been at the San Siro since 2011 after moving from Genoa for a fee of around £14million.
He has made 161 appearances for the club in all competitions and has 20 caps for the Italian national team.
