Jose Mourinho receives vote of confidence from former Chelsea ace

Chelsea eased the pressure on Jose Mourinho by beating Aston Villa

ARJEN ROBBEN is "certain" Jose Mourinho will get Chelsea through their slow start to the season.

 

The Blues got their Premier League campaign back on track with a 2-0 win over Aston Villa on Saturday.

The result moved into tenth place, two points away from a top half position.

Mourinho had called Chelsea form before the recent international break the worst period of his career.

But Robben, who left Stamford Bridge in 2007, hinted Mourinho might be enjoying the challenge of getting Chelsea back up the table.

 

"Of course he [Mourinho] is demanding,” the Bayern Munich star told the Telegraph.

"It is very intense to work with him but you get used to his way. If you play at a world-class team like Chelsea you have to perform every day. 

"For Mourinho, maybe it is a nice challenge. He can take the positive and recover. I am certain he will."
