Harry Redknapp is wrong! Carlo Ancelotti insists Liverpool never contacted him over job
Carlo Ancelotti was not approached by Liverpool
CARLO ANCELOTTI has dismissed claims that he was in the running for Liverpool job

When Brendan Rodgers was sacked by Reds owners, Fenway Sports Group, Ancelotti and eventual manager Jurgen Klopp were immediately linked with the job.
Days later the Italian, who left Real Madrid at the end of last season, ruled himself out of the running to be Rodgers’ successor at Anfield telling News News Blog Sport: "I have not had any offer from Liverpool."
\
However ormer Spurs boss Harry Redknapp was among the critics who claimed Ancelotti was in fact Liverpool's first choice to become their new boss, not Klopp.
He said: "I think Ancelotti was first choice for the Liverpool job.

"Was he [Klopp] first choice? He is a good choice.
"But I don't know if he was first choice."
But Ancelotti insists he never had contact with Liverpool.

He told Goal: "With Liverpool, there was no contact.
"When a job becomes available, they always use the names of the coaches currently without a team, so, my name was thrown out there.
"But I never had any direct contact with the directors of Liverpool."
