Chelsea? Man Utd? Carlo Ancelotti will only take a top job claims former Tottenham boss

Carlo Ancelotti is currently on a sabbatical

CARLO ANCELOTTI will only return to the Premier League if he is offered a top job.

 

That is the opinion of former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp.

Ancelotti, who previously managed Chelsea before going on to have successful spells at AC Milan and Real Madrid, is currently on a sabbatical.

The Italian was sounded as a candidate for the Liverpool job before Jurgen Klopp was appointed as Brendan Rodgers' successor last Friday.

And Redknapp believes there are only five or six jobs in England's top flight that Ancelotti would consider. 

"Ancelotti’s had a little break from the football scene already and obviously feels he’s ready to come back in again," Redknapp told talkSPORT.

“It’s got to be a big club for him, he’s a manager of Champions League clubs so he’s not going to take any job.

“There are only five or six jobs he could take in the Premier League, so it’s very interesting to see what he’s got in mind.”
