David de Gea refused to comment about the reported release clause in his Manchester United contract |
DAVID DE GEA refused to comment on speculation he has a release clause in his current contract with Manchester United.
The United stopper penned a new deal at Old Trafford after a move to Real Madrid collapsed in spectacular fashion during the summer.
Reports emerged shortly afterwards that a release clause of £30million had been inserted, meaning he could move to anybody willing to meet United's demands in the January transfer window.
De Gea was quizzed on the subject after Spain's 1-0 victory over Ukraine while on international duty but remained tight-lipped.
"You should ask [my agent] Jorge [Mendes] that question; he's the one who pays attention to those details," he said.
De Gea was in fine form as he pulled off a string of impressive saves for Vicente del Bosque's side.

The 24-year-old's form will not have escaped any potential suitors and he admits he has never played better.
"I'm in the best form of my career. I always try and do my best. Things worked out well and the important thing was to win the game," he added.
"I always give my all and against Ukraine luck was on my side too. This is the way forward.
"For a goalkeeper, all saves are important, but if I had to choose one, maybe the stop with my feet in the first half with the game tied at 0-0. I'd opt for that one as my favourite."
