Jamal Blackman has never played a match for Chelsea |
CHELSEA are not thinking about an emergency loan deal after Thibaut Courtois suffered a knee injury in training.
The Belgian goalkeeper was ruled out for "quite a long time" by Mourinho after picking up the injury to his right knee on Wednesday.
Summer signing Asmir Begovic will start against Everton tomorrow with youngster Jamal Blackman on the bench.
Mourinho said he wasn't thinking about the possibility of an emergency loan deal and confirmed Blackman will step up if required despite not making an appearance for the club.
He said: "I don't want to think about it (emergency loan). I just lost a goalkeeper. I want to be positive.
"He (Blackman) didn't play one single match in the Premier League. He was on loan at Middlesbrough. I think he didn't play one match in the Championship.
"I think he played in a (youth) cup match against Liverpool and no more than that.
"No experience of being in goal. He doesn't have that, but he has potential."
