John Swift extends loan spell at Brentford

CHELSEA loanee John Swift has extended his stay at Championship side Brentford.

 

The England Under-20 international has made four appearances for the Bees since joining on October 3 - scoring his one and only goal in Saturday's 3-0 win at Charlton.

The extension of his deal will keep him at Griffin Park until January 3 and boss Lee Carsley is thrilled to have retained the services of the 20-year-old midfielder.

 

"We are delighted that Chelsea have allowed John to stay with us until January," Carsley told Brentford's official website.

"He has been a very good addition to the squad. He has slotted in well to the group.

"His work rate has been outstanding since he has been with us and if he wants to stay in the team he has to maintain that."
