Carlo Ancelotti: I wanted to sign Robert Lewandowski for Chelsea
Robert Lewandowski could have been a Chelsea player
CARLO ANCELOTTI has admitted Robert Lewandowski was on Chelsea's radar when he was manager at Stamford Bridge.

The Italian was in charge of the Blues between 2009–2011 and won the Premier League and FA Cup in his debut year.
Meanwhile, Lewandowski was building his reputation at Polish side Lech Poznan before joining Jurgen Klopp at Borussia Dortmund in 2010.
And the 27-year-old went on to be prolific for the German side, scoring 103 goals in 186 appearances, and winning back-to-back Bundesliga titles.
The Pole left Dortmund in 2014 and joined Bayern Munich, where he has continued his fine goalscoring record, this season scoring 22 goals for club and country.
Ahead of Lewandowski going up against Arsenal in the Champions League tonight, Ancelotti has revealed how Chelsea tracked the striker but failed to sign him.

"He's a player that I have always followed, particularly in the first part of his career, when he was at Borussia Dortmund," he told Goal.com.
"Lewandowski was being followed by many clubs, not just me. But even when I was at Chelsea, I was tracking him.
"Also, while I was at Madrid, but by then he was already going to Bayern, so it was too late."
