Jorge Mendes drops into Manchester United's training ground |
SUPER AGENT Jorge Mendes has arrived at Manchester United's training ground as David De Gea's return to first team action edges closer.
Mendes touched down today and pulled into Carrington this afternoon, at first he wasn't let through security until he proved who he was.
It is understood Mendes is in town to discuss the possibility of a new contract for De Gea.
The Spain keeper was jettisoned from Louis van Gaal's first-team plans while speculation linked him with a move to Real Madrid.
The Liga giants tried to sign De Gea but didn't make their approach until deadline day and were unable to get the paper work processed in time.
He has spent the last week on international duty but could now be thrown in for United's clash with Liverpool on Saturday.

He kept faith with the summer signing but two mistakes against Swansea has put his place in scrutiny.
"I wanted to play and now we'll see after the international break if I'm lucky with my club," he said yesterday.
"I felt well. The coach (Vicente del Bosque) has given me confidence.

"I'm calm. I'll keep working and improving - in short, I'm enjoying my football and I'm happy.
"The support I've received is very important to me. I have some magnificent team-mates and I am very grateful to all of them. My future's going to be the same as it is now. "
And today Florentino Perez said Madrid would not be back in for De Gea in January amid reports he could sign a new deal at Old Trafford.
"We will certainly not sign De Gea in January," Perez told radio station Cadena COPE.
