Metal Gear Solid 5 update: DLC content revealed as Konami talk MGS future and quit rumours
Metal Gear Solid 5 is getting a new update but are bigger plans on the horizon?
METAL Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is getting its first DLC pack, while publisher Konami has given an update on the future of the franchise and those recent triple-A title 'quit rumours', according to new reports.

Metal Gear on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC will get several downloadable costumes based on MGS 3: Snake Eater, as well as new threads for faithful companion D-Horse.
The full list revealed at the Tokyo Game Show include:
  • Snake jungle fatigues
  • Snake sneaking suit
  • Snake tuxedo
  • Snake-Eater The Boss
  • Snake-Eater EVA
  • D-Horse Legion
  • D-Horse Antlers

While this content is expected and will play a big role in Metal Gear Solid Online moving forward, the next piece of news highlights another part of the game fans have been curious about.
Since unearthing evidence pointing to a third chapter, named Peace, gamers have been asking the game's producer, Ken-ichiro Imaizumi if he could clarify if there would be further content released in this vein.
Imaizumi replied: "Sorry. I can't tell you. No comment."
Not the chattiest answer, but it doesn't rule out the possibility of more in the future.
A quote from director Hideo Kojima referring to something that had never been done before was the basis of the question and if fans could still wait for the surprise.
"We do have a big surprise for the players in this game," Kojima said in August.
"We have challenged and pushed ourselves with something that movies can't do but only games can do. It hasn't been done before.”
In other news Konami appear to have denied rumours that they are set to abandon most of their triple A lineup of titles.
Reports claim that game production has ceased  on everything but Pro Evolution Soccer, with no plans to continue making high-budget Metal Gear games.
However, a fan who reportedly posed the question to Konami's customer support received a reply debunking the rumour, although it is unclear if this can be treated as an official statement from the company, or whether is is a staged hoax.
“I can promise you that we’re definitely not leaving Metal Gear behind or anything like that," the alleged reply from Konami reads.
"I know some blogs were claiming that online this morning, but I’m not really sure where they’d be getting that from.
"We’re still definitely working on console games and franchises such as Metal Gear, Silent Hill, Castlevania, PES and all the rest.
"Those teams are definitely working on designing and programming great games."
