Liverpool defender joins Aston Villa on season-long loan with permanent option
Llori joins Aston Villa for the rest of the season
TIAGO ILORI has joined Aston Villa on a season long loan with a view to a permanent switch from Liverpool.

The Portuguese U21 international believes he will have more chance of first team football at Villa Park this term rather than staying at Anfield. Ilori had previously turned down interest from Sunderland.

Liverpool will receive a £1m loan fee and if Ilori, 22, plays a specified number of games Villa can trigger a clause of between £6m and £9m to buy him permanently. The Anfield club would also receive 25pc of any sell-on fee.
Ilori will compete for a place at Villa with the likes of captain Micah Richards and new signing Joleon Lescott.
Liverpool signed him for a fee that could reach £7m in 2013 from Sporting Lisbon, but he has not featured for the club and instead been on loan at Granada and Bordeaux.
He was due to challenge Joe Gomez for a place in Brendan Rodgers’ plans this summer until picking up an injury in pre-season.
