Jamie Carragher: Brendan Rodgers needs to play two strikers - he's killing Liverpool!
Jamie Carragher reckons Brendan Rodgers' system is killing Liverpool
BRENDAN RODGERS' current Liverpool system is killing the team, according to former defender Jamie Carragher.

The Reds were conclusively beaten by Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday and sit tenth after five games.
Liverpool have picked up just seven points, and have scored just three goals so far, and Carragher's scathing assessment will do little to improve the mood at Anfield.

Carragher attacked Rodgers' system on Saturday, straight after the game, and having had time to think it through ploughed deeper into the issues.
"I think obsession was perhaps the wrong word I used after the game," he said on Monday Night Football.
"I think it’s a system he wanted to use when he first came to the club, but it’s also the system he falls back on when things haven’t worked.

"Ideally, it's the one he likes to use, but it’s never really worked. I also mentioned the make-up of the squad in terms of strikers and number 10s, and Jordon Ibe is the only out and out wide player. That’s perhaps why he’s playing three in the centre of midfield.
"The thing for Brendan Rodgers is how can he get his players into the positions they want to play? At the moment, that’s the thing he’s finding difficult.
"Moving forward, they need to get two strikers on the pitch. It’s a system that brought them so many goals the season they nearly won the league. With Sturridge, you can’t rely on him for a full season, but he’s back training and he gets goals.
"I’d like to see Daniel Sturridge playing in that wide forward role, but something has to be worked on to incorporate the players into a team, as the lack of goals and creativity is what’s killing Liverpool."
