XXX-citing news: Vin Diesel revved up for new action-packed XXX film
Vin Diesel hits the gym in LA
VIN DIESEL has confirmed he is finally making a sequel to his 2002 extreme sports action hit XXX after his latest film The Last Witch Hunter hits cinemas with Game of Thrones star Rose Leslie.

The Fast & Furious star announced the news on Instagram.
"While I was filming XXX, guys on set called me Air Diesel," he said.

"The time to return has come. Filming starts December in the Philippines."

The original film was shot before Diesel revved up global box office takings with his involvement in the huge Fast & Furious franchise.

Diesel played extreme sports star-turned-action hero Xander Cage in the 2002 hit, alongside Samuel L Jackson and Asia Argento.

The spawned the sequel, XXX: State of the Union in 2005. Ice Cube replaced Diesel in the lead role but the film was not a hit – which seemed to spell the end of the fledgling franchise.
Until now.
Meanwhile, the 48-year-old is about to start promoting his latest epic blockbuster, The Last Witch Hunter, which hits cinemas worldwide this autumn.
The film features Game of Thrones star Rose Lesie in a passionate lip lock with the muscle-bound star.

Diesel has also recently been announced for the big screen revival of 1970s TV cop drama Kojak.
No prizes for guessing who the smooth-headed star will be playing...
The third XXX movie has been rumoured to be in the works for years.
In the original film, Diesel's character starts out as an adrenaline junkie with a bad attitude and disfunctional personal life. Recruited by the government because of his specialised skills, he found himself saving the planet.
The new film has the rumoured and spectacularly self-explanatory title of The Return of Xander Cage.
