Manchester United are advancing their efforts to sign Brazilian star Neymar.
The Sun reported that the club have been holding secret talks with the Catalan giants over a move this summer after failing to secure Pedro.
Louis van Gaal has insisted that he doesn't need a new striker but after his side's 0-0 draw with Newcastle yesterday, the Dutchman may need to rethink his options.
If United are to lure the Brazilian to Old Trafford they would have to pay £137.8million in order to secure his services, report the Daily Star on Sunday.

Pini Zahavi, Neymar's agent, was reportedly welcomed at Old Trafford this weekend and has confirmed United's approach.
"It is normal such a giant club as Manchester United would wish to win the services of Neymar, the best player in the world," Zahavi said.
”It would be astonishing if United pulled off such a coup, but they are making a play for him."

United are also preparing a deadline-day swoop for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.
The club are banking on Real fans to turn on Bale again in their first La Liga home fixture against Real Betis on Saturday, allowing the Dutchman three days before the window closes on Tuesday to secure a £95million deal for the Welshman.
Bale has been linked with a move to United this summer and throughout last season as he came under criticism for his performances by some of the Real fans.
Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Brazilian Kenedy from Fluminese.

The 19-year-old striker has played for his national team at Under-20 level and will wear the No.16 shirt.
"I am very happy to complete my transfer to Chelsea," he said.
"It is an exciting time for me to join the English Premier League champions and I hope I can become an important player for the club.
"I very much enjoyed my time with the squad during pre-season and I am very grateful to Fluminense for allowing me this opportunity.'
