MANCHESTER UNITED'S goalkeeping crisis is deepening with third-choice Sam Johnstone eager to leave, according to reports.
David De Gea's future is in doubt with Real Madrid hovering around him.
Meanwhile, new signing Sergio Romero is his No.2, but Victor Valdes and Anders Lindegaard both appear to be on their way out.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Johnstone is keen to spread his wings.
United they claim, are desperate to hold onto Johnstone, who impressed on loan at Preston last term.
The 22-year-old has played for England at several youth levels.
