Louis van Gaal could sanction deals for at least four players to leave on transfer deadline day |
MANCHESTER UNITED could let as many as four players leave before the end of the transfer window.
Goalkeeper David de Gea is finally on his way out of Old Trafford, with his long-awaited move to Real Madrid expected to go through.
Manager Louis van Gaal also appears resigned to losing the Spaniard after admitting he is helpless if De Gea wants to leave.
When asked if he would stay at United, Van Gaal said: "I don't know.
"We have to wait and see but I don't want to interfere.
"As a manager we have divided our tasks and the task is for Ed Woodward (United chief executive) and not for me.
"You can ask all the players but you have to wait and see until Manchester United make an announcement, or the club where he is going to make an announcement. Otherwise he stays."
Fellow stoppers Victor Valdes and Anders Lindegaard are two more heading for the exit door, according to various reports.
French publication Sport claim Valdes will join Marseille, while Lindegaard is on his way to West Brom, according to Sky Sports.
And United striker James Wilson could link up with Lindegaard at the Hawthorns, with The Mirror reporting the 19-year-old will have a medical tomorrow.
