Adnan Januzaj will join Borussia Dortmund on a season-long loan |
Adnan Januzaj has signed for Borussia Dortmund, on what is understood to be a season-long loan deal.
The Belgium international was reported to be in advanced talks and posted a picture of himself posing with a Dortmund shirt on his official Twitter account.
The 20-year-old winger has featured in the first-team sporadically this season but was left out of Sunday's defeat to Swansea, with the club claiming he had a hip injury.
And former player Danny Higginbotham has responded to the news by urging the club to take Marco Reus in the other direction.
The ex-Red Devils defender may have dealt a blow to Liverpool, who are reported to have been chasing the Dortmund star, 26, all summer.
"Like a lot of people are saying I wonder if Januzaj goes to Dortmund does that mean a possibility of MUFC getting Reus. Would be a good one," Higginbotham said.
While that might be a bit of a long-shot, the club appear to be closing in on a deal for striker Anthony Martial.
The 19-year-old was spotted on his way to United's Carrington training ground to complete a medical ahead of his proposed £36million from Monaco.
The two clubs had earlier agreed a fee for the France international, who is currently away with the national team.
France manager Didier Deschamps granted Martial permission to fly to Manchester and the transfer is expected to be formally announced shortly.
