John Terry could earn £20million a season if he leaves Chelsea for the Chinese Super League this summer, according to reports.
Terry, 35, announced last week that he will not be signing a contract extension at Stamford Bridge.
The centre-back is in the last six months of his current deal that was itself extended by a year last summer.
And The Daily Telegraph claim Terry will be offered a huge wage to quit English football and head to China.
It is claimed the former England captain will consider his options over the coming weeks, with an offer to move to the Middle East also on the table.
Newcastle United had a £24m bid for Saido Berahino blocked by West Brom on transfer deadline day.
The Magpies were keen to land Berahino after completing the loan arrival of Seydou Doumbia earlier in the day.
Berahino, 22, wants to leave Albion, with Tottenham also keen on his services.
But The Daily Mirror claim Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace refused to sell up after Newcastle made a third bid in a week to try and land the former England U21 star.

Liverpool will forget about trying to sign Alex Teixeira this summer after failing in their efforts to secure his services during the January transfer window.
The Reds refused to do business with Shakhtar Donetsk after the Ukrainian club bumped up their asking price to £53m.
Liverpool were willing to offer £24.5m and reportedly may have gone higher had Shakhtar shown signs of dropping their valuation.
But manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed he wasn't going to be held to ransom for the 26-year-old and promised signings will be made in the next window.
“We made offers, I won’t say too much about that, but they were realistic, absolutely, with the premium of it being January, the Premier League, all the plusses you have when you make negotiations," Klopp said.
"But it was a case of, 'If you don’t want it, okay, we can’t change the situation, both for now and the future.’
“It’s not that we haven’t got money or anything, but you have to work respectfully and responsibly. That’s what we do. We will do things, for sure. Not in this window, but we will. It is like it is and it’s not you should buy and sell, buy and sell.”
Pep Guardiola's first task in charge of Manchester City will be to try and sign Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey, claim website Football Insider.
It was announced yesterday that City have appointed Guardiola as their new manager.
He will take over from Manuel Pellegrini in the summer and it is claimed he will have a £150m war chest to sign a new side.
And Ramsey is said to be on his list, with the 25-year-old reportedly facing a battle to keep his place in the Gunners midfield next season.
Football Insider claim Wales international Ramsey was unhappy last year about being player on the flank.
