NEYMAR’s dad has told a court in Spain that his son has a huge £143.3million offer on the table from an unnamed club.
The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League with Manchester United and Manchester City showing a keen interest.
Louis van Gaal claims he wants to sign ‘x-factor’ players and recent reports suggest that the Red Devils will go all out to sign Neymar after missing out on the Brazilian last summer.
But, following the news that Pep Guardiola will be joining City next season, it is understood that a bid of £105million will be launched to bring Neymar to the Etihad - claim Spanish webiste Fichajes.
However, according to Spanish news outlet Marca, Neymar Snr has thrown a spanner in the works after telling Judge Jose de la Mata that his son had an increased offer of £143.3m from an unnamed club, which was better than his current deal at Barcelona.
The report adds that Snr also insisted Neymar wanted to stay in Spain and planned to extend his contract, despite this interest.
Neymar has also been linked with a shock switch to Spanish rivals Real Madrid.
The forward is being investigated by Spanish authorities over tax issues.
