Alex Teixeira looks set to stay at Shakhtar Donetsk

The Brazilian started his career at Vasco, scoring 16 goals in 92 appearances, before joining Shakhtar Donetsk in 2010.
And the 26-year-old has since developed into a prolific striker in Ukraine, with 89 goals in 222 matches.
Liverpool have attempted to sign Teixeira during the January transfer window but their £24.5million offer was snubbed by Shakhtar, who are holding out for around £38m.

News News Blog Sport understands Liverpool could revive their move for Teixeira in the summer.
But with the deal now unlikely to happen and Shakhtar still on their winter break, Teixeira took the opportunity to see his former club and speak to Vasco president Eurico Miranda.
Teixeira told Brazilian newspaper Lance: “It’s always good to be back and get the affection of these wonderful fans, who have always received me very well.

“Today I was very welcomed by all. I had the opportunity to meet the president Eurico Miranda again.
“We remembered the old times. I arrived here very young, when I was seven, and studied at the Vasco da Gama college.
“It was emotional to meet people who took part in my formation.”
