The Eagles took the lead in the 26th minute when Wilfried Zaha fired an excellent cross into the feet of Scott Dann, who lashed the ball in from close range.
But Bournemouth quickly responded through Marc Pugh drifted past several Palace players to shoot past Wayne Hennessey into the bottom left corner.

A scrappy start to the second half was livened up when Matt Ritchie forced Henessey into a save and Afobe headed up the rebound.
Emmanuel Adebayor came on for his Crystal Palace debut and could have equalised in the final moment but he could only shoot into the side netting.

The result makes it five league defeats in a row for Crystal Palace while Bournemouth move into fifteen place.
