ALEX TEIXEIRA's move to Chinese Super League club Jiangsu Suning has been confirmed.
The surprise move emerged this week following Liverpool's failed attempts to sign him during the January transfer window.
The Reds tabled a £28million offer that Shakthar refused, demanding the Premier League club pay an extra £10m.
And according to reports, that's when Jiangsu Suning made their move, offering the full £38m to snap up the 26-year-old.
A statement from Shakhtar read: "Shakhtar Donetsk and Jiangsu Suning FC have agreed on all the necessary formalities for the transfer of Alex Teixeira to the Chinese club.
"The transfer fee for the Brazilian midfielder is 50 million euros [£38m].
"Shakhtar thank Alex for the time spent in the team and wish him success at his new club."
Teixeira was also linked with Premier League rivals Chelsea, who have also had dealings with Jiangsu Suning recently.
The Chinese club snapped up Ramires for £25m this month and have enquired about midfielder Oscar, tabling a £57.5m bid.
