The Spaniard will take over from Manuel Pellegrini when his contract expires at Bayern Munich.
He will join on a three-year deal.

Losers

Swansea
Swansea brought in relegation man Leroy Fer from QPR.
Fer has gone down with Norwich and the R's and could complete his hat trick this term with the Swans struggling at the foot of the table.
Fer joined online for the rest of the season.

Aston Villa
The Premier League's bottom club finished the window without a single signing.
Remi Garde, who replaced Tim Sherwood earlier this season, failed to bring in anyone and looks doomed.
And it's now emerged that he will consider his future in the summer.

Saido Berahino
The West Brom striker saw another window fly by without a move.
Saido Berahino was linked with Spurs, Newcastle and Stoke.
"Everyone waiting once again for the silly little spoilt boy to make same mistake so here you go," he tweeted.
"Goodnight all and thanks for the support."
