MARCOS ROJO is a January transfer target for Real Madrid, according to reports.
The Argentina international has failed to have the impact many expected at Old Trafford, making just 28 Premier League appearances since his arrival in 2014.
The defender has largely been troubled by injuries and is currently sidelined with a reoccurring dislocated shoulder.
It's the second time the problem has surfaced and there was talk of the the 25-year-old leaving the club last summer.
Reports from Italy suggested Napoli were keen to sign him and it's said he was also offered to Monaco as part of the deal for Anthony Martial.
However, Spanish publication Fichajes claim Real Madrid are now interested in bringing Rojo to the Bernabeu as cover for Marcelo.
It's added Real are hopeful of getting a cheap deal due to his limited game time at Old Trafford - less than the £16m United paid Sporting Lisbon in 2014.
If the transfer were to be completed it would be Zidane's first signing as Madrid boss since taking over from former Liverpool and Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez.
