XBOX One news this week includes a Star Wars Battlefront update, Fallout 4’s mech war and Black Ops 3 Zombies preparation.
Having apparently revealed that a new offline update is set to be launched to expand Star Wars Battlefront single-player choice last week, more news has come in on the subject.
EA customer service were the ones who reportedly confirmed the plans while speaking to a fan via online chat but more on the subject has since been released.
Hero Designer for developers DICE, Guillaume Mroz, has answered player questions on when they can expect a DLC announcement and if they can hope for more single-player options.
Mroz revealed that news attached to Star Wars Battlefront’s next DLC will be released soon, while he also hinted that his team were aware that an improvement to the offline mode was also a priority.
When asked for an update, Guillaume replied: “Sorry but I can only say that we’re going to announce what the DLC is about soon.
“It has to go through a “proper” announcement.
“Offline multiplayer has technical difficulties that the single player guys are definitely looking at. I can’t give any dates for that but we’re very aware of the huge request for this.”
It is currently unclear what the next Star Wars: Battlefront DLC will focus on, although EA have confirmed that it will not feature anything from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
SPOILERS: Ever wondered what it would be like to watch Fallout 4’s Liberty Prime battle Deathclaws?
Well how about 1,000 of the mutated monsters versus ten of the overpowered mechs? Two of humankind's most effective killing machines can now be seen battling in a new fantasy scenario put together by one intrepid YouTuber.
Just the sight of all those waiting Deathclaws should get you ready to run, although ten Liberty Primes sound like quite enough to handle the situation.
Bethesda confirmed earlier in 2015 that they hoped to deliver Fallout 4’s Creation Kit and DLC content in early 2016, with many hoping to get their hands on the modding gear as soon as possible.
Both Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas had impressive fan-created mods released following their launch on PC, improving on everything from visuals, weather and quests.
Black Ops 3 Zombies fans on PS4 have until February to spruce up on their undead survival skills and Activision have put together a new guide to help.
Developers Treyarch have already revealed that they will mixing things up with the Awakening expansion, Der Eisendrache, which will include story revelations and more importantly, a new range of Mega Gumballs.
Zombies' GobbleGums offer players consumable bonuses and abilities, which can be acquired through Dr. Monty’s GobbleGum Machines found in each map.
Defeating waves of zombies earns you points that allows you to randomly draw one of five default GobbleGums, each offering their own unique benefits for a limited time after they’re activated.
Mega GobbleGums differ from the classic set and offer more rare and powerful bonuses which can only be unlocked by using Vials of Liquid Divinium in Dr. Monty’s Factory.
