WATFORD striker Odion Ighalo has put Louis van Gaal on red alert after revealing his dream of playing for Manchester United.
The Nigeria international has been in scintillating form in his debut campaign in the Premier League, with 14 goals to his name already.
While United have struggled in front of goal, having found the back of the net just 24 times in the league - the lowest in the top six.
Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores maintains he has no desire to sell his star striker in January, but Ighalo admits he would find it hard to turn down a call from Van Gaal.
"There has been speculation from Spain and Italy but I've played there and now want to play in England," Ighalo told The Sun.
"I don't think I will be moving but I'm not sure I'd say no if United called.
"They were my team growing up. I loved watching Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke on TV. They were my idols and playing at Old Trafford has always been a dream."
But Flores is confident Ighalo will opt to remain at Vicarage Road until at least the end of the season.
"I think Ighalo is completely clever, he chose five months ago the option to stay here with Watford," the Spaniard said before Christmas.
"He chose to stay here because he imagined something special for him.
"It's very clever, he knew perfectly it was the best option for him. I think he'll finish the season with Watford, after that anybody knows."
