MANCHESTER UNITED boss Louis van Gaal reacted angrily to questions about Wayne Rooney's form last night - and ended up calling a journalist fat.

Rooney scored twice against Newcastle last night and Van Gaal said he was tired of questions on his skipper.
United threw away two leads to draw 3-3 last night and Van Gaal looked annoyed in the press conference afterwards.
"We don't speak anymore about Rooney," Van Gaal said. "You have criticised him. I don't. You..You too. Fat man there."

Van Gaal is back under pressure after winning just once in eight games.
And he let his frustrations boil over after declaring losing the lead late on felt like defeat.
"I'm very disappointed, we're very disappointed," he said. "We have to blame ourselves because we could have finished the match much earlier. I've said that to my players. You can say the referee makes a questionable decision for their penalty, but we could have finished it much earlier.

Louis van Gaal called a reporter fat after and stormed out a press conference

"It was luck for Newcastle United, but we had big chances and we should have taken them. In my opinion it's no discussion on our penalty, Mbemba is putting his hand to the ball, he did it with purpose so it's a penalty.
"For their penalty, it's heavyweight wrestling between Mitrovic and Chris Smalling. You can see he's pushing the head of Smalling to the ground. Then they are heavyweight champions and you can judge who is the champion.
"The referee makes his decision and we have to accept it. We've scored three goals and got one point for it. We had to win today, but that's football. That's also why people love to go to a match like this."
