Pato wait continues
Chelsea's swoop for Alexandre Pato has stalled due to a disagreement over his loan fee, with no indication as yet to when it will be resolved.
Pato, 26, was in London for a medical yesterday and was expected to be announced as the Blues' newest recruit.
But the loan process has been delayed, claim Sky Sports, as discussions continue over the fee.
Chelsea are said to have agreed a £12million figure that could be paid in the summer if they want to make the move permanent.
Former AC Milan striker Pato will be paid £30,000 a week at Stamford Bridge until the end of the season.
Chelsea face MK Dons in the FA Cup on Sunday (4pm), with Pato hoped to at least be in attendance.
Liverpool want three new recruits
Liverpool have reportedly shelved plans to sign three players until the summer.
The Reds are said to be keen on landing Udinese's Piotr Zielinski.
Zielinski, 21, is on loan at Empoli and The Daily Mail claim he is available for around £12m.
The Poland international is also thought to have caught the eye of Manchester City scouts.
Liverpool considered a bid for the attacking midfielder this January, it is claimed.
But no move will take place before monday's 11pm deadline, with a summer bid set to be made when manager Jurgen Klopp has time to assess his squad at the end of the season.
Indeed, that policy appears to have been applied to two further players on Klopp's shopping list.
The Daily Mail claim both defender Joel Matip at Schalke and Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell are on the German's radar.
Matip, 24, has made 23 appearances for Bundesliga side Schalke this season and scored against Werder Bremen last weekend.
Chilwell, meanwhile, is expected to stay at Leicester until at least the end of the season after the Foxes turned down a bid from Arsenal this week.
Van Gaal blow in Mane pursuit
West Ham have reportedly join the race to sign Sadio Mane - and believe they can gazump Manchester United's pursuit of the Southampton ace.
Mane, 23, has been tracked by United since last summer but is expected to remain at St Mary's until the end of the season.
United failed to land the ace back in August when they made a late bid following their crushed attempts to sign Barcelona's Pedro, who moved to Chelsea.
And the Brentwood Gazette claim United could miss out on Mane again as the Hammers consider making an offer come June.
It is claimed West Ham are looking to spend big to mark their move to the Olympic Stadium.
Manager Slaven Bilic has enjoyed a relatively quiet first January transfer window in charge of the club, with defender Sam Byram from Leeds United his only acquisition.
Nigeria youngster set for Arsenal medical
Arsenal target Kelechi Nwakali will reportedly have a medical today ahead of his move to the Emirates.
Nwakali, 17, has flown to London to complete his switch.
Website Football Insider claim he will pen a four-year contract at the club, with compatriot Samuel Chukwueze also expected to join Arsenal.
Arsenal are still waiting on Nwakali's work permit and visa to come through.
But the midfielder's arrival is expected to go ahead as planned after Arsenal first scouted him at last year's FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Chile.
