THIBAUT COURTOIS is keen for Didier Drogba to return to Stamford Bridge in a coaching capacity.
The Ivorian has been linked with making a comeback to west London following Guus Hiddink's appointment as interim boss.
Drogba was spotted alongside Hiddink and owner Roman Abramovich at Stamford Bridge in Chelsea's 3-1 win over Sunderland last month.
The 37-year-old is still under contract at MLS outfit Montreal Impact but rumours have intensified in recent weeks over his potential arrival at Chelsea.
And while Hiddink has spoken about Drogba coming back to the club, the Dutchman respects he is currently contracted to Montreal Impact.
But goalkeeper Courtois is hopeful the striker will be added to Chelsea's coaching staff in the near future.
“I had a very good relationship with [Drogba] last year,” Courtois said. “He was great for the dressing room and our team.
“If he comes back as a coach it will be a great addition to all the team.”
Chelsea's next match sees them take on Scunthorpe on Sunday in the third round of the FA Cup (2pm).
