MARK HUGHES has told Peter Crouch that he will not be sold in the January transfer window.

Stoke manager Mark Hughes rules out striker sale
Hughes wants to keep Crouch as part of his squad

Crouch turns 35 at the end of the month and has played only 46 minutes of Premier League football so far this season.
The 6ft7 striker has started only three starts this year, all in the Capital One Cup, as he finds himself behind Bojan and Joselu in the pecking order at the Britannia Stadium.
The former England man has also been struggling with injury, having only just recovered from a hamstring strain, but despite his advancing years his manager believes he can still contribute to Stoke's season.

"Peter’s been unfortunate that he’s had a couple of injuries," said Hughes.
"He’s just coming back now.

“But he’s a big part of what we do here. He’s going to get game time at some point.
"We’re going to need everybody. He’s very much in my thoughts.”
