Shakhtar Donetsk insider reveals Liverpool have agreed terms with £38m Chelsea target

ALEX TEIXEIRA has agreed personal terms with Liverpool, according to a Shakhtar Donetsk insider.

 

Could Alex Teixeira finally be on his way to Liverpool?

 

The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Anfield after Reds chief executive Ian Ayre flew to Florida for talks with the Ukrainian side last week.

A £25million bid was made but is thought to be short of Shakhtar's valuation of around £38m.

 

However Ukrainian outlet Futbol Ukraine claim the 26-year-old has agreed terms with Liverpool, quoting a Shakhtar official.

They tweeted: "Alex Teixeira has agreed to personal terms with Liverpool and the only issue left in the transfer is Shakhtar's decision.

Chelsea are also interested in Teixeira but are thought to have baulked at his valuation.

Teixeira is said to favour a move to Anfield due to his relationship with compatriots Philippe Coutinho and Lucas Leiva.
