The Gabon international has been linked with moves to Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool recently, with The Sun claiming the Gunners have entered talks with Dortmund.
A £42million fee has been reported, however, Jurgen Klopp is also said to be keen on muscling in on the deal, using his superior contacts within the club.
The 26-year-old caused rumours of a potential January move to rocket yesterday after he skipped Dortmund's training session.
However, the club have since come out to quash any reports of him leaving in January, saying he was absent for personal reasons.
"The reason is pretty well known in fact: He missed training due to a personal appointment. Will be back tomorrow," the club tweeted.
Aubameyang is enjoying a stunning season in the Bundesliga this term and has scored 17 times in 18 appearances.
