JAMES RODRIGUEZ is moving closer to a Real Madrid exit, according to reports in Spain.

The Colombia midfielder is on Manchester United's radar - despite turning the Old Trafford club down in 2014.
Rodriguez was one of the star performers at the Brazil World Cup and United tried to sign him from Monaco.
But he chose Madrid and helped them win the Super Cup and Club World Cup in 2014.

However things have since gone sour for the 24-year-old.
He fell out of favour under Rafa Benitez and has played a combined 54 minutes in Zinedine Zidane's first two games in charge.
And reports from Spanish publication Fichajes claim he is on his way out of the Bernabeu.

James Rodriguez could be leaving Real Madrid

Louis van Gaal's side have been poor going forward this season, scoring just 28 goals in 22 games.
Rodriguez, who hit 13 goals and 13 assists in his first season at Madrid, would give the Dutchman some much needed spark.
