OSCAR scored a first-half hat-trick as Chelsea romped into the fifth round of the FA Cup with a 5-1 victory over MK Dons.
The Brazilian was in scintillating form as the Premier League strugglers tore into the Championship side from the outset.
First Diego Costa was denied by an excellent save from David Martin then Oscar shot wide from inside the MK Dons box.
Chelsea eventually took the lead in the fifteenth minute thanks to a calamitous mistake by Kyle McFadzean. Under no pressure, the defender left his back pass short, allowing Costa to race in and square the ball to Oscar who had the simplest of tasks to score.
But despite threatening to run riot, Darren Potter brought MK Dons level when his shot took a massive deflection off Nemanja Matic before looping over Thibaut Courtois.
Chelsea responded swiftly with Eden Hazard hitting the post with just the keeper to beat and then Costa and Oscar failed to convert what would have been a tap in.
But Oscar got his second of the night when he ran onto to Reuben Loftus-Cheek's pass to smash a shot past Martin.
And he sealed his hat-trick just before half time, running down the left, drifting inside and curling a superb shot into the back of the net.
Any hopes of a fightback by MK Dons was ended in the 55th minute when Eden Hazard scored his first goal of the season from the penalty spot after he was fouled by Potter.
Substitute Bertrand Traore then got his name on the scoresheet with a nice finish from a Hazard cut-back.
The Premier League side had further chances to score but settled for just five and an easy passage into the next round.
