Real have once again been linked with a move this month for City’s leading goalscorer following FIFA’s transfer ban on them signing players in the next two windows.
But City simply will not consider selling one of their key players, who has three and half years left on the five year contract he signed in August 2014 and is viewed as being crucial to the clbu's development as a major European force.
Pellegrini, said: “I don’t talk about those things as you never know what will happen.
“Are we on same level as Madrid in terms of attracting players? Well, I think it’s a club that wants to be at the same level [as them].
“I think that we are improving every year in achievements, in the way the club is growing in every department.

“Real Madrid has a long and important story, of being a big club for so many years, but I’m sure that this club is in the correct way to try to do it.”
Pellegrini says the transfer ban will be a big blow to perennial big-spenders Real as well as their neighbours Atletico.
He added: “Well, I don’t know. It will not be easy for those clubs, especially as they are always clubs that wants to buy top players.
“We are thinking just in this moment in what we must do now and not what will happen in the market in the future.”
