MANCHESTER UNITED have agreed to let Victor Valdes leave in January on a free transfer, according to reports.
The former Barcelona shotstopper hasn't featured in a single game for United since he fell out with Louis van Gaal in pre season last summer.
Valdes reportedly refused to play in a reserve game for the Red Devils and was subsequently cast aside by the Dutchman.
And according to the Daily Star, the 33-year-old has finally been given the green light to leave the club for nothing in the current transfer window.
It is claimed his representatives are now looking for a new club with reports in Spain suggesting a La Liga return is on the cards.
Spanish newspaper Sport claim Celta Vigo are interested in the former Barcelona man as back-up for Sergio Alvarez and Ruben Blanco.
And a move to Turkey can't be ruled out following interest from Besiktas and Fenerbahce last summer.
