NEWS NEWS BLOG SPORT brings you the latest transfer news coming out of Old Trafford.
Barcelona are increasingly close to sealing a new deal for Neymar |
Manchester United have reportedly made Gareth Bale a huge contract offer.
The Red Devils supposedly made a £100million bid for the Real Madrid superstar last summer.
But Spanish publication Don Balon claim United have made a ‘dizzying’ contract offer in an effort to turn Bale’s head.
However, it is unclear how much United are prepared to pay the Welshman.
Barcelona are on the verge of tying Neymar down to a new contract.
The 23-year-old’s contract negotiations have dragged on with United thought to be prepared to meet his £140m buy-out clause.
But Barca boss Luis Enrique thinks Neymar’s future will be sorted out very soon.
When asked about a contract extension, he replied: “I believe so, yes, I think he'll end up renewing."
Victor Valdes claims he left United to win trophies.
Gareth Bale is on United's radar |
Valdes, who fell out with Louis van Gaal, joined Belgian outfit Standard Liege earlier this week.
And speaking about why he signed for Liege, he said: “I came to play in Belgium in the Champions League with Barcelona. I was surprised by the very good atmosphere towards the team.
"Every time a player does something good the supporters applaud and they never rebuke a player for bad play. I find that admirable.”
