NEWS NEWS BLOG SPORT bring you the latest transfer news from Old Trafford.
Manchester United have agreed a temporary deal for defender Guillermo Varela to join Genoa, according to reports.
Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb claim the youngster is on the verge of joining the Serie A side and will remain on loan for the remainder of the season.
Varela was signed by David Moyes for an undisclosed fee in June 2013 and spent last season with Real Madrid’s B team in Spain's third tier.
Louis van Gaal has reportedly denied Andreas Pereira a January loan move, despite the youngster clearly wanting to leave for more game time.
"Sometimes I get frustrated by not playing, but the manager is always talking to me. I need to play more time, and the club will decided [my exit] with my agent," he said.
But the Daily Mail claim Van Gaal has told the Brazil U20 international he cannot leave Old Trafford for fear of another spate of injuries.
Dutch wonderkid Tahith Chong has confirmed Manchester United are in talks with Feyenoord to sign him.
In an interview with Dutch outlet Fr12, the young striker confirmed United’s interest, but revealed that he is hoping to remain at current club Feyenoord.
"It’s true that Manchester United are interested in me, but I want to just stay at Feyenoord -Feyenoord is and remains my first choice and we are still negotiating."
