Louis van Gaal fears a number of his players are in the 'red zone'

The Red Devils host the League one side tomorrow in the late kick-off (5.30pm) and Van Gaal has claimed a number of his players are in bad shape following the hectic winter schedule.
United have already had games against Stoke, Chelsea and Swansea over the festive period and it's put doubt on key players like Ashley Young.

"He [Ashley Young] is not injured, he is overloaded and in the red zone," Van Gaal said.
"More players are in the red zone and we have to decide if they can play against Sheffield United or not.”

"Phil Jones is injured but Jesse Lingard has trained all week and is ready."
But it's not all doom and gloom on the injury front as Van Gaal shed light on long-term absentees Luke Shaw, Antonio Valencia and Marcos Rojo.

"All three are going very well. Shaw and Valencia also had a holiday break and they have come back very brightly and they have the spirit to continue so that’s very good.
"Rojo was here and shall also have a break at the end of January when it is possible for him. But it is going very well.”
