Man Utd eye £20m January raid for international defender to resolve injury crisis
Southampton defender Ryan Bertrand is attracting interest from Manchester United

Ashley Young for up to two months with a serious groin problem.
Young will go under the knife in a bid to speed up his recovery, but joins Luke Shaw on the sidelines - who broke his leg in two places in Champions League defeat to PSV Eindhoven in September.

And according to the Daily Star, Van Gaal will launch a £20m raid to land Bertrand as cover for Young and Shaw.
The 26-year-old has been in impressive form for the Saints since signing on a permanent basis from Chelsea for £10m last year.

His displays did not go unnoticed either as he earned a recall to Roy Hodgson's England squad, which is said to have got the attention of Van Gaal.
This will not be the first time United have looked to raid Southampton for one of their top stars.
With the Red Devils signing Luke Shaw and Morgan Schneiderlin last season.
