RYAN GIGGS has laid into Manchester United's attackers for their poor form, according to Charlie Nicholas.
United were turned over 2-0 by Stoke on Boxing Day but put in arguably one of their best performances against Chelsea in the following game.
Despite a 0-0 draw, Wayne Rooney looked sharp and the Red Devils were playing with some fight and attacking flair.
And according to Sky pundit Nicholas, that's because Giggs got the likes of Rooney, Anthony Martial and Juan Mata 'angry'.
"Giggs stormed off after the Stoke defeat with a furious look on his face and I think he could have played a part in the improved display against Chelsea," he said.
"I think he's gone to the attack-minded players and said 'Come on, it's time you guys started delivering," he told Sky Sports.
"'The defence has been doing okay but we need you to start performing - Rooney, Martial and Mata we need more from you', and that may be marked the improvement on Monday.
"I'm hoping Ryan is getting them angry and maybe that's just what they need."
Manchester United host Swansea on Saturday (3.00pm) and will be keen to end an eight-game winless run against the Welsh side who are hovering perilously above relegation.
