LOUIS VAN GAAL will not last the remainder of the season at Manchester United, claims former midfielder Johnny Giles.
United have been on an eight-game winless run under Van Gaal, putting immense pressure on the Dutchman’s position.
With Jose Mourinho currently out of a job and Pep Guardiola leaving Bayern Munich in the summer, talk has shifted to who could be his replacement.
And according to Giles, who made over 90 league appearances for the Red Devils, Van Gaal will not see the end of the season.
“It is a complicated situation. It was bad signs last week when he apparently agreed to change training methods and attitude to the game,” he told Newstalk.
“It is a difficult one for Manchester United. If he has lost the dressing room, it is difficult to get it back.
“I don’t think he’ll last until the end of the season.”
United are currently in sixth place in the league and are already nine points behind current leaders Arsenal.
Manchester United will hoping to get back to winning ways today (3.00pm) as they host strugglers Swansea, who are managerless and sit just two points above relegation.
